A message from Coach Bear

At Big Bear Sports Camp we do things a little differently… because we are different… and we’re proud of it!

We teach kids the fundamentals, but we know that all the skills in the world add up to nothing without confidence. We teach kids to face things and say: “I might not be able to do it yet, but if I keep practising, I will!” We teach kids to be strong, smart and hard-working.

Most of all… we teach FUN!!!

What we play

  • Basketball

Shooting, dribbling, passing and rebounding — taught through lots of games, so kids walk onto any court with confidence.

  • Soccer

All the fundamentals, with drills and games that get every kid many more touches on the ball than a normal match.

  • Ultimate frisbee

Fast becomes the favourite. Kids learn to throw, catch, move and — most of all — talk to their teammates.

  • Shinny

Canada’s favourite street game: road hockey. Stick handling, passing, shooting and moving without the puck. So much fun!

  • Multi-sport

Gymnastics, track, dodgeball, soccer, basketball, climbing, capture the flag, parkour and crafts — a truly healthy, packed week.
